A fire broke out at a fuel and energy infrastructure facility in the suburbs of Odessa in Ukraine. This was announced on August 18 by the head of the regional military administration Oleg Kiper.

"In the suburbs of Odessa, a fire broke out at a fuel and energy infrastructure facility and a two-story building," the Keeper wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also noted that the fire was eliminated. A fire train was involved in extinguishing the fire.

Earlier, on August 17, the Ukrainian edition of "Public" reported that explosions were heard on the territory of Odessa at night. According to the operational online map of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, an air alert was announced in the Chernihiv region.
