In the Irkutsk region, a woman fell asleep on a board and swam across the Angara River. Law enforcement agencies were searching for her. This was announced on August 18 by the press service of the regional police.
"According to preliminary data, last night a 47-year-old usolchanka and her husband were relaxing on the bank of the Angara River near the village of Buret in the Usolsky district. The woman decided to board, but did not use her life jacket and left her mobile phone on the shore," the agency said in a Telegram channel.
After her husband could not find her, he turned to the police for help. Employees of the Inter-municipal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Usolsky" organized events aimed at finding the missing person.
The next morning, information was received from the Bokhansk district that the woman had contacted. It is specified that she swam across the Hangar unnoticed, falling asleep on a sapboard. The missing woman woke up at night, waited for dawn and turned to fishermen for help. The police went to the scene to make sure the woman was safe.
Earlier, on May 19, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Primorsky Krai announced the start of a search operation for missing boarders. It is specified that on May 18, in the afternoon, a man and a woman rode on the same board in the Amur Bay, after which communication with them was interrupted. The bodies of the missing were later found.
