The weather forecaster warned of daily rains this week in Moscow

Daily precipitation is expected in Moscow this week. However, the rainiest day is forecast for Monday. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, chief specialist of the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this on August 18.

"This week, the weather will correspond to low atmospheric pressure. Although such flooding rains are not expected in our country, atmospheric fronts will periodically, as they say, run into our region, so almost no day will be without precipitation," she said.

A cold front will cover the capital and bring heavy precipitation.

According to the forecaster, a vast area of low atmospheric pressure will cover almost half of the European territory of Russia.

The most intense rains are forecast for the beginning of the week — up to 7 mm of precipitation is expected today due to a secondary atmospheric front. On Wednesday and Thursday, the rains will be more local and less intense. Meteorologists expect the weather to worsen on Friday and Saturday, when a series of active atmospheric fronts will pass through the region, bringing significant amounts of precipitation.

The temperature regime will remain consistently low for this time of year. At the beginning of the week, the minimum temperatures will be +11...+13 degrees in Moscow and +9...+14 degrees in the region.

"By the end of the week, the thermometer will drop to +8...+13 degrees at night. Daytime temperatures will also be below the climatic norm: today +17...+19 degrees, on Tuesday +18 ...+20, on Wednesday +19...+21 degrees. On Thursday and Friday, the maximum values will not exceed +16...+21 degrees," Pozdnyakova added.

Saturday is expected to be especially cool with temperatures of only +14...+19 degrees, which is 2-3 degrees below the long-term average for this period. According to the expert, such weather smoothly brings the region to the autumn season.

On August 14, Yandex.Weather analysts told Izvestia that in autumn, temperatures in many regions of Russia will be higher than in the last 30 years. In St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Samara, Krasnoyarsk, Chelyabinsk and Perm, there is a possibility of new records of average seasonal and monthly temperatures, especially noticeable excess may occur in November.
