The process of resolving the conflict in Ukraine must necessarily take into account the opinion of the 7 million Ukrainians who have currently found refuge in Russia. This was announced on August 18 by Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations.

"You also have to take into account the point of view of about 7 million Ukrainians who found refuge in Russia after it all started," the diplomat said in an interview with the British BBC corporation.
