Putin presented a new motorcycle to an Alaskan resident who rode in the Urals
Russian President Vladimir Putin presented Mark Warren, an Alaskan resident, with a new Ural motorcycle. This was announced on August 17 by the Rossiya 1 TV channel.
A few days before Putin's meeting with American leader Donald Trump, Warren told reporters that anti-Russian sanctions had made it harder for him to find spare parts for his old Ural. After the report was released, Russian diplomats found the American and presented him with a new vehicle.
"I must say that this is a personal gift from the President of the Russian Federation," said Andrei Ledenev, Envoy Counselor at the Russian Embassy in the United States.
The motorcyclist noted that the new bike runs much smoother and more pleasant than the old one, adding that although he likes his old Ural, the new one is obviously much better.
Putin visited Alaska on August 15 as part of a meeting with his American counterpart Donald Trump. The US president said that the negotiations went very well, and called the summit in Alaska wonderful.
