The Prosecutor General's Office has declared undesirable in Russia the activities of the German organization Stiftung Erinnerung, Verantwortung und Zukunft e.V (EVZ) ("Foundation for Memory, Responsibility and the Future"), according to the agency's website on August 18.

It is noted that the fund was established in Germany so that victims of the actions of the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War (WWII) could receive payments through partner organizations. However, after the start of the special operation in Ukraine, the organization took an anti-Russian position, calling for support from Kiev and organizing a collection of donations for Ukrainian troops. For this purpose, an additional "solidarity budget" was formed.

"At the same time, since 2024, funding in the Russian Federation has been discontinued for the program, the target audience of which were relatives of victims of Hitler's accomplices. In 2025, the Board of Trustees of the foundation suspended the membership of the Russian representative," the press service of the department reported.

The Prosecutor General's Office stressed that the organization's work is aimed at violating the territorial integrity of Russia, strengthening military confrontation, radicalizing society and cultivating Russophobia.

Also on August 14, the Prosecutor General's Office declared undesirable the activities of a foreign non-governmental organization Demokrati-JA e.V. It was clarified that the organization creates a "totalitarian" image of the Russian Federation and promotes Russophobia, demanding the introduction of trade, gas and oil embargoes. Demokrati-ja e.V. incites ethnic hatred and distorts historical memory.
