The AN-24 plane, carrying 40 passengers, rolled off the runway at Tyumen airport. This was announced on Saturday, August 18, by the Central Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
"On the morning of August 18, 2025, an AN-24 passenger plane rolled off the runway during takeoff at Roshchino Airport," the agency's Telegram channel said.
It is specified that there were six crew members and 40 passengers on the plane, 13 of whom were children. There were no casualties in the incident. According to preliminary data, the cause of the accident was a technical malfunction in the aircraft's braking system.
On June 5, an An-2 aircraft made a hard landing near the village of Novorepnoye in the Saratov region. It was clarified that the pilot was carrying out work on spraying fertilizers on agricultural fields. As a result of the incident, he was injured.
