Rosgvardiya special forces discovered and destroyed a dugout and a howitzer of the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Zaporizhia region on Monday, August 18, the press service of the department reported.

"In the southern direction, during reconnaissance and search activities, officers of the Rosgvardiya special police unit using aerial reconnaissance equipment discovered an enemy dugout and a howitzer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine militants in a wooded area," the report says.

It is specified that both targets were destroyed by strikes of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that calculations of the Uragan multiple launch rocket systems of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the Zapad group of forces destroyed armored vehicles and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Fire correction and confirmation of destruction were carried out by UAVs, which transmitted data in real time to the command post.
