The wards of 13 city animal shelters gathered at the Mospitomets festival
Hundreds of guests attended the Mospitomets festival on Tverskaya Boulevard, where for the first time animals from 13 city shelters gathered on one site. As a result of the event, 18 pets — cats and dogs — found new owners. Before a cat or dog was handed over to good hands, volunteers talked to their future owners. They gave advice and talked about the basic rules of animal care. After listening to the recommendations, the guests could walk with their chosen dog or spend time with their cat to get used to each other. To do this, the participants were given a pre-prepared set of a young host.
In addition, over the course of three days, from August 15 to 17, Muscovites were able to collect 650 kg of feed for shelters, which should provide the wards with decent living conditions. The guests also appreciated the photo booth, where the owners, together with their pets, took snapshots in a beautiful environment.
Also, as part of the "Summer in Moscow" project, on August 16 and 17, "Good Weekend" was held, an event dedicated to the World Day of Homeless Animals. More than 100 cats and dogs from city shelters were waiting for Muscovites in the park on Olonetsky Passage of Yauza Park. In order to take home a new pet, visitors had to sign a responsible maintenance agreement.
