The popularity of Harry Potter among the heroes of the cinematic universe on cakes is undeniable: desserts with his image are bought twice as often as with Shrek, and three and a half times more often than with Edward Cullen from Twilight.

"We see a growing trend for unusual desserts: Russians like references to popular images and memes. So, the demand for cakes with Edward Cullen is related to the quote "How long have you been 17?" from the movie," said Veronika Peretyagina, head of the department for attracting and supporting sellers at Flowwow.

Cats are absolute favorites among pets. Cakes with rats, geese and frogs are practically not found. If we talk about dogs, corgis are the most popular breed in Russia, but even they are more than seven times less popular than cats.

"The leaders are desserts with their own design, where they post both personal wishes and jokes or photos of the birthday boy," the head clarified.

In 2025, the Stitch from the movie "Lilo and Stitch" became the main trend. Capybaras, although they have lost their former popularity, still remain in demand, entering the top ten rating images for cakes and desserts.
