In Sochi, two people were killed and seven others were injured in an accident in the village of Third Company. This was announced on August 17 in the press service of the main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory.

"This evening in the Lazarevsky district in the village of the Third Company of Sochi, the UAZ driver lost control at a bend in the road, allowed the exit from the roadway, after which the car overturned onto the road fence," the agency said in a Telegram channel.

Later, they clarified that a 24-year-old man and a 16-year-old teenager were killed.

The injured — six passengers and the driver — were taken to the hospital. Traffic police officers are working at the site. An investigation is underway into the incident.

On August 17, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Sverdlovsk region reported four deaths as a result of an accident. It was clarified that a truck collided with a Scania semi-trailer and a Chery passenger car.
