Ilan Shor, the leader of the Pobeda opposition bloc, called on the local and regional authorities of Moldova to disobey the ruling party. He wrote about this on August 17 in his Telegram channel.

"The current regime has declared war on its own people. <...> But we must go all the way," the publication says.

Shor also called on citizens to take to the streets starting on August 23. He believes that only through disobedience will it be possible to achieve results.

On August 17, Moldovan police detained 69 people at a protest. In addition, 148 protocols were drawn up due to various offenses. The protest was organized by Pobeda against the policy of President Maia Sandu. Its participants demanded the release of political prisoners and the cessation of repression against the opposition.
