Yemeni Houthis from the Ansar Allah movement launched a missile attack on Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv. This was announced on August 17 by Yahya Saria, the military representative of the movement.

According to him, the strike was carried out using the Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile.

"The operation was successful and forced crowds of Israelis to rush to shelters and suspend the operation of the airport," he is quoted as saying on the movement's Telegram channel.

The Houthi representative clarified that the attack was a response to the genocide and famine policy pursued by Israel in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, on August 12, the Houthis attacked four sites in Israel using six unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It was noted that all the tasks "in response to the crimes of genocide and famine against the Palestinian people" were completed successfully.
