Football club (FC) Orenburg won its first victory in the current season of the Russian Premier League (RPL), beating the Tolyatti team Akron. The match on August 17 at the Samara Arena Solidarity stadium ended with a score of 2:1.

Akron midfielder Stefan Lonchar opened the scoring in the 39th minute and later scored an own goal. Emirjan Gyurlyuk scored for Orenburg.

Following the match, the football club from Tolyatti retained the eighth place in the RPL standings.
