A man was injured in a shooting in a Buryatia store.

In the Zheleznodorozhny district of the Republic of Buryatia, a man opened fire on store patrons during the conflict. This was announced on August 17 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the region.

"Last night (August 16. There was a conflict between the visitors of one of the shops in the Zheleznodorozhny district. As a result of the quarrel, a scuffle occurred, during which one of the men inflicted two wounds on his opponent with an air pistol, after which he fled the scene," the agency said in a statement posted on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that the injured man was hospitalized. The second person involved in the conflict, born in 1982, was detained by law enforcement officers, and an air gun was seized from him.

The department clarified that in order to make a legal decision on the incident, an inspection is being conducted to establish all the circumstances.

Teenagers were involved in the incident, who also used pepper spray against adults who tried to interfere with them. As a result, one person was seriously injured.
