As a result of heavy rains, 28 households were flooded in the Tavrichesky district of the Omsk region. This was announced on August 16 by the governor of the region Vitaly Khotsenko.

"Following an extraordinary meeting of the Emergency Committee, a decision was made to introduce a high-alert regime. This is due to the situation in the Tavrichesky district, where 28 houses were flooded due to heavy rainfall," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.

Khotsenko stressed that specialists continue to eliminate the consequences of heavy rains around the clock. Representatives of the operational services and representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are in the territory of the area affected by the weather.
The governor noted that he receives hourly reports on the situation in the Tavrichesky district from his deputy Alexei Romakhin and the head of the district Igor Bannov.

On August 3, the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the Krasnodar Territory reported flooding due to rains of 70 house territories and 34 houses in the villages of Defanovka, Moldavanovka and Novomikhailovsky. As specified in the press service of the department, two temporary accommodation facilities for 100 people were deployed in the region. 48 specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and six units of special equipment went to this area to eliminate the consequences of precipitation.
