The air defense forces and electronic warfare systems repelled an attack by several unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over Voronezh and the Voronezh Region. This was announced on the night of August 17 by the governor of the region, Alexander Gusev.

"Several unmanned aerial vehicles have already been detected, suppressed and destroyed by the air defense and electronic warfare forces on duty in the east of the region and over Voronezh," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.

The governor clarified that according to preliminary data, there were no casualties as a result of the UAV attack. However, as a result of the fall of one of the drones, the glazing in a number of apartments in an apartment building was damaged.

On August 16, Vyacheslav Gladkov, Governor of the Belgorod Region, reported that a civilian was injured as a result of an attack by a UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the village of Ivanovskaya Lisitsa. Gladkov clarified that the woman was in the car at the time of the attack.
