As a result of the protests in the Serbian city of Valjevo, several premises were damaged, one of which was the prosecutor's office. The corresponding footage is published by Izvestia on August 17.

"Today's protest in Valevo resulted in damage to several buildings," said Izvestia correspondent Sergey Petrov.

Damage was recorded in the administration building in the form of broken windows and overturned tables. The protesters tried to get inside, but the police stopped their attempts. Criminologists are currently working at the site.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic commented on the situation, saying that the unstable behavior of the protesters and the subsequent destruction of property was due to their inability to offer something else.

"The time of responsibility is coming and all those who burned and destroyed will be held accountable and will be punished for their crimes," he said in a video message on Instagram (owned by Meta, a company recognized in the Russian Federation as extremist, whose activities are prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation).

On August 16, the RTS portal reported that protesters in Serbia had vandalized the office of the SPP in the city of Valjevo and wanted to burn it down. Also on August 14, the office of the SPP in Novi Sad was vandalized.

On August 12, protests took place in Serbian Vrbas, during which almost 70 people were injured. A group of citizens of the republic expressed dissatisfaction in front of the building of the Serbian Progressive Party and its supporters. On August 13, it was reported that 64 people were injured in the protests, 16 of them policemen. The actions covered the offices of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party in Novi Sad and other cities of Serbia.

Anti-government protests began after 15 people died in November 2024 as a result of the collapse of the railway station in Novi Sad. The protesters blocked bridges and roads.
