In the Republic of the Congo, six people died as a result of the Antonov plane crash after a collision with a tree. This was reported on August 16 by the Actualite news portal.

"The plane flying from Lubut crashed near Kisangani, 34 km away, <...> colliding with a tree on the Ituri road. According to the preliminary investigation, six people died, only one survived," the article says.

It is noted that two foreign pilots were among the dead. According to the portal, the plane belonged to a local pastor.

Earlier, on August 7, a light-engine plane crashed in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi. Kiambu County Commissioner Henry Wafula said six people were killed in the incident. Wafula confirmed that among the dead were two doctors and two nurses who were on board the plane, as well as two people who were at the scene.
