The Ministry of Health reported on the condition of emergency victims in the Ryazan region

The condition of four victims of an accident at an enterprise in the village of Lesnoy in the Shilovsky district of the Ryazan region is assessed as extremely serious. This was announced on August 16 by Assistant to the head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Alexey Kuznetsov.

"The condition of four patients is extremely serious, doctors are fighting for their lives, and seven more are in serious condition," Interfax quoted him as saying.

According to Kuznetsov, the condition of the other victims is assessed as average. Everyone receives the necessary medical care. In addition, it is noted that 38 medical teams were involved in the elimination of the consequences of the incident.

The emergency at the plant in the Shilovsky district occurred on August 15. According to the latest data, 11 people were killed and 130 injured due to the explosion. Later, a headquarters for the elimination of consequences was established. A criminal case has been opened into the incident. The Ministry of Emergency Situations additionally sent 100 rescuers to eliminate the consequences of the fire at the enterprise.

Later, on August 16, the Governor of the Ryazan Region, Pavel Malkov, announced that Monday, August 18, had been declared a day of mourning in the region. Malkov offered condolences to the families and friends of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the victims of the emergency. The governor promised to provide them with all necessary assistance.
