President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in a telephone conversation with American leader Donald Trump on August 16, again asked the United States and European countries to provide security guarantees for Ukraine.

"It is necessary to reliably and long—term guarantee [Ukraine's] security with the participation of both Europe and the United States," Zelensky said in his Telegram channel.
