The deputy head of the Starooskolsky city district of the Belgorod region was sent to the capital's pre-trial detention center in a case of embezzlement on an especially large scale. This was announced on August 16 by the press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction.

"By a decision of the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow, the investigator's request for a preventive measure in the form of detention against Gubarev Vladimir Iosifovich was granted," the press service said in a statement posted on the Telegram channel.

It is clarified that a criminal case was opened against the accused under Part 1 of Article 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Embezzlement or embezzlement"). The ministry stressed that Gubarev will stay in jail for two months.

The press service noted that Egorov will stay in jail for one month and 30 days.
