A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the Zapad group of forces liberated the village of Kolodezi in the DPR, destroying up to 230 militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), a British-made Mastiff armored vehicle, a Novator armored fighting vehicle, 14 vehicles, three artillery pieces, four electronic warfare (EW) stations and four ammunition depots.

At the same time, units of the Vostok group of forces liberated the village of Voronoye in the Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result of the group's actions, the Ukrainian formations lost more than 215 militants, one armored personnel carrier, 11 vehicles and two electronic warfare stations.

"Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of the mechanized brigade, the coastal defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and two air defense brigades in the areas of the settlements of Berislav, Dneprovskoye, Nikolskoye, Sadovoye, Chervony Mayak of the Kherson region and Stepovoye of the Zaporizhia region," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Operational and tactical aircraft, attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), artillery and missile forces of the Russian Army hit ammunition depots and military equipment, long-range drone storage sites, as well as temporary deployment points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and mercenaries in 133 districts. The Air Defense Forces, in turn, shot down five guided aerial bombs, a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) and 169 aircraft-type UAVs.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, during the special operation, the Kiev regime lost 665 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 77,659 drones, 625 anti-aircraft missile systems, 24,598 tanks and other armored personnel carriers, 1,586 MLRS combat vehicles, 28,581 field artillery and mortars, as well as 39,749 units of special military vehicles.
