The summit of Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump in Alaska may become a turning point in relations between the two countries and in the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on August 16 by Alexei Pushkov, a member of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council.
"The Alaska talks have every chance of becoming a turning point both in Russian-American relations and in resolving the Ukrainian crisis. The negotiations took place in a constructive spirit, as stated by both sides," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
