29 Ukrainian UAVs were shot down over the regions of Russia and the Sea of Azov overnight.

During the night, Russian air defense systems destroyed 29 Ukrainian drones over the regions of the Russian Federation and the Sea of Azov. This was announced on August 16 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"During the past night, from 00:00 to 03:30 Moscow time on August 16, 29 Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the agency said in a Telegram channel.

So, 10 drones were eliminated over the Rostov region, nine over the Stavropol Territory and four over the Kursk region. In addition, three more UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were eliminated over the waters of the Sea of Azov and one drone was shot down over the Belgorod and Bryansk regions, as well as the Krasnodar Territory.

On August 16, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense systems destroyed four UAVs over the Rostov Region between 22:55 Moscow time and midnight. The ministry clarified that all the drones were of the airplane type.
