Russia does not need athletes who have left the country. This was announced on August 16 by two-time Olympic champion, State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Fetisov.

"Why do we (Russia. — Ed.) do we need athletes who have left? I don't know what the decision of those responsible for this will be, but I definitely don't like it," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
