The Russian Armed Forces destroyed an Armed Forces mercenary station in the Chernihiv region with an Iskander.

Servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck a large deployment point of mercenaries of the foreign Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Chernihiv region with the Iskander tactical missile system (OTRK). This was reported by TASS on August 16, citing Russian law enforcement agencies.

"In the Chernihiv region, a large deployment point of the mercenaries of the foreign Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed by the Iskander-M missile defense system," the agency's source said.

On August 14, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed the position of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Sumy region with an Iskander strike. It was clarified that as a result of the strike, the HIMARS system launcher and escort vehicles were destroyed. The losses of the AFU personnel amounted to 10 people.
