The servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces told about the training on UAV control

On August 16, the military personnel of the North group of forces spoke about their training courses in piloting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) such as FPV drones to work in the area of a special military operation in the Sumy region.

First, specialists study theory, studying aerodynamics and types of drones, after which they move on to practical control of UAVs on the ground. During the training, they practice various types of flights, as well as monitoring the situation and air patrolling the territory.

In order to gain precision drone control skills, operators maneuver between artificially created obstacles such as narrow passageways, openings, and tunnels. Such intensive training helps to increase the efficiency of using drones.

In addition, the operators are assisted in training by experienced combat instructors. Those who have completed the training successfully complete the tasks, demonstrating the high effectiveness of applying the acquired skills.

The drone operator with the call sign Technician said that during the training, military personnel can also practice UAV control on simulators in a special classroom.

"In this class, our simulator operators practice in order not to lose their flight skills so that they can safely go on combat missions in the future. A soldering place has been set up in the classroom, where our military personnel repair drones," he said.

The soldier also spoke about the UAV, which he assembled together with a friend. According to him, this model was made from two Russian drones. This drone is designed to drop ammunition and is capable of flying at a distance of up to 10 km.

On August 15, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the calculation of FPV drones of the Rubicon Advanced Unmanned Technology Testing Center had eliminated the T-80BV tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). It is specified that the military equipment was located in the vicinity of the village of Kiyanitsa in the Sumy direction.
