On August 16, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of Russian military personnel in the area of a special military operation.

The ministry pointed to the actions of Corporal Nikolai Mureev, who, as part of a motorized rifle company, carried out combat missions to defend advanced positions in one of the tactical areas.

In addition, he used an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to deliver water and dry rations to military personnel stationed in remote areas. After another delivery, making a circle over the enemy's positions, Mureyev identified a mortar crew of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and immediately transmitted the coordinates to the command, which ensured the infliction of fire damage to the enemy.

The corporal personally adjusted the mortar fire, which allowed the destruction of the Ukrainian cannon. Thanks to his precise actions, it was possible to hit the enemy and protect the Russian military.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry noted the actions of the gunner-operator of the motorized rifle company of the Guard, Sergeant Yevgeny Krivchuk, who was tasked with capturing the AFU stronghold as part of an assault group.

He personally killed two Ukrainian militants traveling on motorcycles, after which Krivchuk threw a grenade into the enemy's dugout and eliminated the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thanks to his courageous actions, the group managed to clear the designated area without loss of personnel.
