Dmitriev announced plans to continue working with Witkoff at the Russian-US summit.

Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Cooperation with Foreign Countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), said on Friday, August 15, that he would continue to work with US Special Envoy Steven Witkoff in Alaska.

He posted a photo with Witkoff on the Instagram social network (owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation, whose activities are prohibited in the territory of the Russian Federation).

"We will continue to work with the special envoy of the US President Stephen Witkoff and the American delegation headed by US President Donald Trump in Alaska today," he wrote under the publication.

Earlier in the day, Dmitriev announced plans by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump to discuss the restoration of bilateral ties during the Alaska summit. He also shared that he was in a "fighting" mood before the meeting.

The Presidents of Russia and the United States will meet at the Elmendorf-Richardson Air Force Base in Anchorage on August 15 at about 11:30 local time (22:30 Moscow time). The central topic of the meeting of the heads of state will be the discussion of the conflict in Ukraine.
