Moscow Football club (FC) Torpedo has announced the termination of the contract with head coach Oleg Konov. The relevant information was posted on the team's official website on August 15.

"Oleg Georgievich has been the head of Torpedo since January 2024. Under his leadership, the team took second place in the First League in the 2024/2025 season," the statement said.

It is noted that the contract was terminated by agreement of the parties.

In the 2025/26 season, Torpedo takes the 16th place in the first league with 1 point after 4 rounds, adds Sport-Express.

Earlier, on July 10, at a meeting of the control and disciplinary committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU), it was decided to exclude Torpedo Moscow from the list of participants in the upcoming RPL championship "for attempting to arrange match-fixing in football competitions." It was clarified that the club was fined 5 million rubles.

Prior to that, on June 20, it was reported that the owner of Torpedo, Leonid Sobolev, and the club's director, Valery Skorodumov, were detained in a case of illegally influencing the outcome of matches involving the club. They offered the chief judge a bribe of over 1 million rubles, but he refused.
