President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, during a telephone conversation with American leader Donald Trump, invited his colleague from the United States to come to Minsk with his family, the Telegram channel Pool One, close to the press service of the head of state, reported on August 15.

"The President of Belarus invited Donald Trump and his family to Minsk, and this invitation was accepted," the message says.

During the conversation, the heads of Belarus and the United States discussed issues on the bilateral agenda, regional issues and the situation in hot spots, including the conflict in Ukraine. Both sides agreed to continue contacts.

As reported earlier on August 15 by the Telegram channel Pool One, Lukashenko and Trump had a telephone conversation that ended at about 16:46 (coincides with Moscow time). The American leader called the negotiations very good. He shared that he had discussed with his Belarusian counterpart the release of 1.3 thousand prisoners and the upcoming summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
