More than 200 people evacuated from sports arena in Krasnodar due to fire

Due to the fire in Krasnodar, more than 200 people, 140 of them children, were evacuated from a multifunctional sports arena. This was announced on August 15 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Krasnodar Territory.

"The dispatcher of the Krasnodar fire and rescue garrison received a message about the fire at the address: Krasnodar, Prigorodnaya Street. <...> Evacuation was carried out: 230 people, 140 of them children," TASS quoted the agency as saying.

It is specified that the wall cladding caught fire on an area of 10 sq. m.

The People's Front announced that civil servants were being forced to fight fire, but the volunteer units did not confirm the information.

On August 12, a fire broke out in a multi-storey building in Aksai, Rostov region. 24 people were evacuated from the building, and parents with three children managed to get out of the burning apartment. Two children were hospitalized.
