The issue of resolving the conflict in Ukraine will be at the forefront of the summit of Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump in Alaska. This was announced on August 15 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"The issue of the Ukrainian settlement will be at the forefront," he said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

According to Peskov, during the flight, the Russian leader will make theses on the entire range of issues that are planned to be discussed. It includes not only all aspects of the Ukrainian settlement, but also irritants in Russian-American relations, possible projects of economic cooperation, regional and international issues, the Kremlin representative added.

Earlier in the day, Peskov announced that Putin's plane was scheduled to land in Anchorage at 11:00 a.m. local time (22:00 Moscow time). He also confirmed that Trump would meet the Russian leader at the ramp. The presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States will meet at the Elmendorf-Richardson Air Force Base in Anchorage on August 15 at about 22:30 Moscow time, according to Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
