Five people, including two pilots, were killed in the crash of an Mi-17 helicopter of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government in Pakistan. This was reported by The Times of India on August 15.

"Five crew members, including two pilots, were killed," Provincial Minister Ali Amin Gandapour said.

Rescue teams have already been dispatched to the scene. It was clarified that the helicopter was transporting humanitarian aid to the rain-affected areas of Bajaur. Previously, the flight took off from Peshawar to Bajaur, and communication with it was lost over the Momand tribal region.

According to the chief secretary of the province, Shahab Ali Shah, the cause of the crash was bad weather conditions. He clarified that the final conclusions about other factors that provoked the disaster will have to be established.

Earlier, on August 6, Ghanaian Defense Minister Edward Oman Boama and Minister of Environment, Science and Technology Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed were killed in a military helicopter crash. It was clarified that the plane crashed in the Adansi Akrofuom area of the Ashanti region. There were three crew members and five high-ranking officials on board.
