A ship with 500 containers arrived from China at the port of Arkhangelsk
The container ship Newnew Polar Bear arrived from China at the port of Arkhangelsk as part of the Arctic Express logistics route No. 1. This was stated by the head of the Arkhangelsk region, Alexander Tsybulsky, in his Telegram on Friday, August 15.
The ship was sailing along the Northern Sea Route, which connects Russia with Chinese ports. There were 497 containers with auto parts, PVC film and steel on board. The goods will be sent to Russian enterprises, Bi-port news agency writes.
Early next week, the container ship will leave for China with the export products of Arkhangelsk timber producers. The cargo will arrive at the destination port in a little over three weeks.
Earlier, Izvestia reported that container shipments will begin to increase along the North–South corridor through the Caspian Sea in 2025. The first four special vessels are already being prepared for delivery. This route will help to unload the Transsib.
