The U.S. delegation to participate in the Russian-American summit in Alaska included Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant, Commerce Secretary Howard Latnick, and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) John Ratcliffe. This was reported on August 15 by the Reuters news agency with reference to the White House.

It is noted that the American delegation consists of 16 people in total. Among them are United States Special Envoy Steven Witkoff, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt, White House Chief of Staff Susan Wiles and her deputy Dan Scavino.

Earlier, on August 14, Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov announced the composition of the Russian delegation. It included Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Special Presidential Envoy for Cooperation with Foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev and Ushakov himself.

Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet at the Elmendorf-Richardson Air Force Base in Anchorage on August 15 at approximately 22:30 Moscow time, Ushakov said. The central topic of the presidents' discussions will be the conflict in Ukraine. In addition, the leaders of the countries will touch upon broader issues of ensuring peace and security.
