The governor of the Ryazan region, Malkov, went to the emergency site in the Shilovsky district.

Governor Pavel Malkov left for the scene after the explosion in the powder magazine of the plant in the village of Lesnoy in the Shilovsky district of the Ryazan region. This was announced on August 15 in the operational headquarters of the region.

"A headquarters has been set up to eliminate the consequences of an emergency in the Shilovsky district <...> Governor Pavel Malkov went to the scene of the incident," reads a message posted on the operstaba Telegram channel.

It is also specified that the operational headquarters includes the heads of relevant departments and law enforcement agencies.

The explosion at the Elastik plant in the Shilovsky district of the Ryazan region occurred earlier that day. Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
