The death toll from an explosion at a factory in the Ryazan region has increased to four.

The death toll from an explosion in the powder magazine of a factory in the village of Lesnoy in the Shilovsky district of the Ryazan region has increased to four people. This was announced on August 15 by the operational headquarters of the region.

"Unfortunately, the death toll in the emergency in the Shilovsky district has increased to four. The number of victims is being clarified," reads a message posted on the Operstaba Telegram channel.

It is specified that Alexander Pshennikov, Deputy Chairman of the regional government, was assigned to oversee the provision of assistance to the victims.

The explosion at the Elastik plant in the Shilovsky district of the Ryazan region occurred earlier that day. Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.

A headquarters has been set up in the region to eliminate the consequences of the incident. The Governor of the Ryazan region Pavel Malkov arrived at the scene. It is specified that all the victims were sent to the district hospital, operational services are currently working at the scene.
