Overchuk expressed Russia's support for Armenia's decision to create a "Trump route"
Russia supports Armenia in plans to create a transport corridor with Azerbaijan called the Trump Route. This was announced on August 15 by Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk.
"Armenia is our strategic ally, and if Armenia believes that something is good for them, then of course we are helping Armenia here," RIA Novosti quoted the Deputy Prime Minister as saying.
Overchuk also added that he plans to visit Yerevan next week. His plans include discussing this issue with the Armenian side, adds "Газета.Ru ".

On June 21, Pashinyan announced that the Zangezur Corridor project would cease to exist in the country, and a "Crossroads of the World" would appear instead. The Prime Minister noted that he sees no reason why representatives of Turkey and Azerbaijan should not travel around Armenia. According to him, the "Crossroads of the World" implies the possibility of transport transit.
