The NMG DOC film "How do they make rockets?" became available on VK Video
Exclusive footage from the production of a new Russian space rocket in a film from the cycle of techno-popular documentaries from NMG DOC reveals the secrets of the latest developments. This film and more than 50 other projects produced by the National Media Group (NMG) can now be viewed on the VK Video platform.
"The engines have been modified many times, the control system has been completely redesigned: it used to be analog, it has remained the same for many years. Now it is completely digital," said Pavel Gaiduk, Deputy head of the Scientific and Exposition department of the Museum of Cosmonautics.
In the documentary, viewers will be told how many people worked on the Ground to keep everything "normal" in the air, why no Soyuz assembly can do without ordinary soap, and how the "refine with a sledgehammer" principle applies to expensive launch vehicles.
"First of all, I will be one of the first to be allowed to fly a copter in production, I have two copters flying there: a regular one and an FPV, an FPV for the first time. And the second point is, of course, the visual effects that I integrated there," said the producer of the film "How do they make rockets?" Anton Wojciechowski.
According to Evgeny Chursin, a space engineer and popularizer of Russian science and aviation, we are often proud of what was done in the USSR, and we know practically nothing about what we have done in modern Russia.
"This results in the coolest devices that need to be shown," Chursin notes.
He stressed that one such example is the body of the DM upper stage, which has a diameter of at least two human heights, and the engine, fuel and oxidizer tanks are located inside it. This unit is designed to launch spacecraft into the farthest orbits.
On August 12, a documentary film produced by NMG DOC "In the World of Dreams" was released on the VK Video platform. It is dedicated to the role of sleep in human life. The documentary tells about real cases and methods of dealing with insomnia, as well as experiments in this field.
