Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on August 15 that he was not worried about the upcoming meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.

Journalist Alexander Yunashev, who posted the video on his Telegram channel, asked the minister if he felt nervous before an important event.

"And what is it?" replied Lavrov.

In addition to Lavrov, the Russian delegation included Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Special Presidential Envoy for cooperation with Foreign Countries and Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

Putin and Trump will meet at the Elmendorf-Richardson Air Force Base in Anchorage on August 15 at 22:00 Moscow time. Ushakov said that the central topic of the meeting between the presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States would be the discussion of the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, Putin and Trump will also touch upon broader issues of ensuring peace and security.
