Air defense systems destroyed two drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the Belgorod region. This was announced on August 15 by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"Two Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty over the territory of the Belgorod region," the department's Telegram channel said.

It is specified that the drones were shot down between 7:00 and 7:10 Moscow time.

According to the Ministry of Defense, over the past night, Russian military personnel eliminated 53 Ukrainian UAVs over the territory of the Russian Federation. It was noted that drones were destroyed over the Kursk, Rostov, Samara, Belgorod, Orel, Bryansk and Voronezh, Saratov regions, the Republic of Kalmykia and over the Sea of Azov.
