In the Altai Territory, a 13-year-old teenager poured gasoline on a friend and set him on fire, the child was hospitalized in a medical facility. This was announced on August 15 by the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (SU IC) for the region in the Telegram channel.

"A criminal case is being investigated on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing serious harm to health by negligence")," the publication says.

It is specified that on August 9, in the village of Martovka, two minors found a canister of gasoline in the house of a fellow villager. According to the investigation, one of the teenagers inhaled gasoline fumes, then poured some of the flammable liquid on an 11-year-old friend and set him on fire. The victim was hospitalized with burns.

In May, children set fire to an eight-year-old girl at a bus stop in the Kirov region. According to the Izvestia source, the girl was taken to the hospital with burns to her shoulder and chest.
