A peace service is being held on August 15 at St. Innocent Orthodox Church in Anchorage, Alaska, where Russian President Vladimir Putin and American Leader Donald Trump will meet.

"There is a peace service underway. Prayers are in English, but Russian words are often heard: "Holy Mother of God" and "Save and preserve," said Vladimir Artyukhov, a correspondent for Izvestia.

On August 8, Trump announced a meeting with Putin in Alaska on August 15. In turn, Ushakov then called the choice of a place for negotiations logical. He said that the economic interests of the states intersect in the region.

Later, Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that the central topic of the talks at the leaders' meeting would be the discussion of the Ukrainian conflict.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
