On August 15, the MAX Messenger Security Center implemented additional measures to help users protect themselves from suspicious contacts and content.
It is specified that a "Complain" button will appear in the messenger, with which users will be able to instantly send complaints to the security center.
To use it, you need to enter a chat with a user, press and hold a message containing malicious information, select "Complain", specify the reason for the complaint and click "Send".
Each request will be promptly processed by specialists. The security center can detect spam, insults, phishing, and attempts at social engineering.
In addition, a special safe mode will appear in the messenger, which will allow you to configure account privacy.
This allows users to hide their profile from phone number searches, block incoming calls from strangers, and disable chat invitations.
The settings of this mode can be protected with a PIN code. This innovation, together with neural network filters and round-the-clock monitoring of moderators, makes the system as safe and effective as possible.
On August 6, Alexander Khaminsky, head of the Law Enforcement Center in Moscow and the Moscow Region, said that from September 1, the mandatory pre-installation of the MAX messenger on all new smartphones in Russia will begin.
