The verdict in the case of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert Hall may be announced before the new year. This was announced on August 15 by the participants in this process.

"At first, it was said that the review would be completed by the second anniversary of the tragedy, now by the end of this year," one of them told RIA Novosti.

Another participant, who also confirmed the information about the sentencing before the new year, added that three meetings are held weekly in this case "almost without delay." According to him, an initiative is currently being considered to appoint lawyers as partners in order to avoid postponing the hearings.

The start of the criminal case against the perpetrators and accomplices of the terrorist attack was scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on August 4. On the same day, it became known that the meeting would be held behind closed doors.

The official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Svetlana Petrenko, reported on June 23 that 149 people died as a result of the tragedy, one was missing, and another 609 were injured.

Lawyer Ksenia Trunova, who represents people who were seriously injured as a result of the tragedy and relatives of the victims, reported on August 5 that one of the defendants in the case offered the victims 1,000 rubles each as compensation for "moral and physical suffering."
