The Russian delegation's plane will soon land at Anchorage Airport, Alaska, where Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump will meet this Friday, August 15.

"In just 20-15 minutes, the flight from Moscow will land in Alaska. There are people on the runway who are meeting the delegation and the only film crew, Izvestia," our correspondent Vladimir Artyukhov reported.

He clarified that the services on duty on the strip receive signals and talk on the radio. It is specified that the plane with the Russian delegation is already landing.

Artyukhov noted that there are small private aircraft (VS) on the runway, and other larger airliners are located at a distance. At the same time, there are no unauthorized persons in this area.

On August 8, Trump announced a meeting with Putin, which he later called very important for both Russia and the United States on August 14. CNN reported on Tuesday, August 12, that the possible venue for the talks would be the "Elmendorf-Richardson military base," footage of which was later published by Izvestia.

On the same day, Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told Izvestia on August 14 that the leaders' meeting was scheduled for 11:30 a.m. local time (22:30 Moscow time), and the main topic of the summit would be discussing the crisis in Ukraine.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
