In a two-story apartment building in the city of Tikhvin, Leningrad region, a fire broke out on an area of 192 square meters. m. The flames engulfed the second floor and the roof, which, according to preliminary data, collapsed. This was reported to Izvestia by eyewitnesses on August 15.

Later, the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region reported that the fire was extinguished at 23:47 Moscow time. There was no information about the victims.

On August 13, the main directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Altai Territory reported that one person died as a result of a fire in a five-story building in Biysk. It was clarified that four pieces of equipment and 14 specialists were sent to the scene to eliminate the fire, which covered an area of 5 square meters. m.
