Law enforcement agencies have found a man who killed a married couple in the village of Pahachi 22 years ago. This was reported on August 15 in the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

"The involvement of a local resident in a murder committed 22 years ago has been established," the department's Telegram channel clarified.

According to the investigation, the accused resident of the village of Manila found out that a wealthy married couple lived in the village of Pahachi and decided to rob them. Under the pretext of buying caviar, he entered their house, where he attacked the couple.

First, he stabbed his husband several times, and then brutally murdered his wife, stabbing her at least 15 times and strangling her with a pillow. After the murder, he stole a large sum of money and set fire to the house to cover his tracks. The couple died on the spot.

The prosecutor's office opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of two or more persons for mercenary motives"), which was referred to the court for consideration.

The SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported the discovery of the body of a federal judge in the Volgograd region. It is specified that the suspect was detained.
